Synergy Days has become the leading event for digital innovators in the European agri-food sector, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange across the industry. Building on the legacy of SmartAgriHubs, this event has created a vibrant space for our community to meet, discuss, and exchange valuable insights for three consecutive years. We facilitate connections across the agri-food sector by bringing together representatives from EU projects, policymakers, European and Digital Innovation Hubs, farmers, and more.
This year's edition took place on 14-15 October in Barcelona. The two-day program featured engaging plenary sessions, interactive workshops, dynamic project pitches, and plenty of networking opportunities. This edition attracted over 450 participants, maintaining a trend of increasing attendance each year.
The exhibition
The exhibition showcased the remarkable work of nearly 40 European projects and EDIHs. In this dedicated space, innovators presented their work, networked with fellow professionals, and exchanged best practices.
The workshops
The Synergy Days workshops allowed participating projects and EDIHs to share their expertise through interactive sessions, discussions, and presentations. This year, we hosted over 40 workshops that explored a diverse range of topics, from AI-driven crop technologies to rural community engagement.
The pitches
Another key highlight of the event was pitching sessions. Each speaker presented their project and EDIH initiatives in concise, 3-minute presentations, offering attendees a quick yet insightful overview of the latest digital innovations.
The panel discussions
This year's panel discussions featured speakers ranging from policymakers to behavioural coaches, focusing on diverse topics like food waste reduction and smart farming. You can learn more about these sessions later on in the report.
